History of “wakeup2thelies”
When & why did “wakeup2thelies” get started?
It all started because I would see a story being reported on the news and in a week or so I would read, watch or hear the exact opposite being discussed or reported especially when it came to “climate change”.
Furthermore some stories were so outrageous people would not believe that what I was saying was a fact reported on in the news, when I would go to find the original news clips they were nowhere to be found including on the sources website or YouTube. So I stared recording and uploading the clips myself.
To set up a YouTube account a username is required. I came up with the name on the spot; I think it basically describes what I’m about with a bit of an activist edge to it
To my surprise after a year I had over 100 subscribers with over 100,000 views in total and the videos had been featured on various Web pages, blogs and news sites.
Having had this much exposure under the username “wakeup2thelies” I moved onto both Twitter and Facebook with the same username
In the first month my Facebook page had over 20,000 hits and on Twitter I had over 200 followers
Because Facebook, Twitter and YouTube were more popular than I could of imagined I made the decision to create a full website
