Melbourne Uni removes all doubt: The climate change agenda is for socialism

The image used in this poster removes all doubt that the green climate change movement is for socialism. Note at the very top of the poster “Sponsored by the Office of Environmental Programs Melbourne University”.

On the right hand side of the events website (here) it states the Conference Organisers are:
- Green Left Weekly
- Resistance
- Socialist Alliance
The website also states the Conference Sponsor is:
- Office for Environmental Programs, Melbourne University
So the next time someone says it’s a ‘wild conspiracy theory’ that the climate change agenda is being used to achieve socialism and there is no evidence that the universities are involved, please refer to this poster.

Would they dare have a right wing group such as Menzies House organise the event or a global warming sceptic such as Prof. Tim Ball speak at one of these events.

I am the former Director of the Office for Environmental Programs. In the end, we sponsored only the opening speech by John Bellamy Foster – the rest of the conference was held off campus in Trades Hall. You are confusing sponsorship with setting the agenda – we had no part in that. The topic is entirely in accord with what any student would legitimately study – the linkage between anthropogenic climate change, social organisation, and politics. I heard it went well, but did not attend.
Could be that there is scientific evidence in support of man-made climate change, have you read any of James Hansen’s work?
