Dr Megan Clark, Chief Executive of the CSIRO is the former DIRECTOR of Rothschild Investment Bank in Australia between 2001-2003. See her resume from the CSIRO’s own website here

Although there is noting specifically wrong with a former banker moving on to another position it does make me wonder why the CSIRO is aggressively pushing the “climate change” agenda. As any ETS or carbon trading permits will be traded by the big investment banks making billions. It seems awfully convenient that the former director of one is now heading the science body that’s pushing a plan that will possibly make her former bank billions.

It is the banks and hedge funds that are the heavy hitters among those pushing for carbon dioxide offsets trading, so this explains a lot and risks undermining CSIRO’s credibility with the public. It also makes me wonder about the process by which the job of CSIRO CEO was filled. I hope it was transparent and above board and that this is just a coincidence – I mean, one the one hand, her previous job with a giant bank that is heavily involved in carbon trading, and on the other hand, CSIRO spruiking the climate scare and suppressing dissenting CSIRO research (remember that?).
As for Rothschilds: Richard Martin, the chief executive officer of Rothschild Australia said, “With recent developments in international climate change policy, the question is no longer if, but when the global carbon trading market will emerge. Rothschild Australia, through Carbon Ring, intends to be at the forefront of this market, providing private investment vehicles to companies seeking to offset their greenhouse gas emissions liabilities.”
